Picasa

Last time I tried to download Picasa for my Mac, they did not have the application ready for the Mac platform. Today I have it- YEAH! I have used Picasa for a couple of years on my PC laptop, but most of my pictures are on my Mac desktop. So, now the Picasa app is going through all my pictures.

I like the faces feature, where it finds people's faces in your pictures and tries to identify them.

Soon I will put some of my more respectable pictures on the blog.

As far as the classroom is concerned, when I teach shop classes, the kids love to have their pictures taken with their work and their use of tools. I can share these pictures on the blog using Picasa. Just need to be careful of privacy rights. I never take a student's picture without their permission. And then I would never put it on the public website without their permission.

HI,

Remember me? I worked with Terry this past fall. Cool site. Wondered about The mac version of picasa. Is it the same all around or have they left some things out? Sometimes happens that way.

Cary- I am glad that you were successful in installing the Mac version. Do you have experience using any other photo editing tools? If so, how do they compare to Picasa?

I have used photoshop which is much more powerful. But for most snapshots, picassa is just fine
